Summary
👤
SeniorMax Goodridge is a self-taught Senior Engineer based in Manchester with a decade of hands-on experience building full-stack Python applications and data pipelines. He blends web development expertise—demonstrated by his Django tutorials and responsive UI work—with production-grade data engineering skills honed at MVF, where he optimized ETL and distributed Hadoop workloads for resilient, scalable ingestion. Max has moved between startup and enterprise contexts, from co-founding a social startup to shipping internal marketing platforms and risk-analytics software, giving him a pragmatic product-minded approach. Currently at StoryStream, he focuses on delivering robust engineering outcomes while maintaining a developer-first perspective. An active open-source educator, his Django tutorial repo showcases practical features like friends lists and mobile-first enhancements that reflect his emphasis on usability and maintainability. Quietly curious and resourceful, he prefers solving hard problems by improving systems and developer workflows rather than relying on formal credentials.
