Top SchoolMax Silva-feaver is a postdoctoral researcher and experimental physicist with nine years’ experience designing and operating cryogenic readout and detector systems for CMB experiments. He specializes in integrating microwave SQUID multiplexing into Simons Observatory cameras and develops the data-processing pipeline that converts raw time-ordered data into maps and quality metrics used for cosmological inference. At Yale he analyzes Small Aperture Telescope data to constrain inflationary models while leading RF and vibration-mitigation efforts for axion dark-matter searches (HAYSTAC/ALPHA), combining hands-on electronics, software, and field operations in Chile. Known for bridging lab-scale device testing to observatory-grade systems, he is the go-to expert on readout electronics, cryogenic multiplexing, and systematics for next-generation CMB sensitivity.
