Senior🎓
Top SchoolMax Starkenburg is a Junior Drupal Developer with 12 years of hands-on experience designing and maintaining web platforms for academic and open-education organizations. He specializes in Drupal 7/8/9 theming and module development, accessibility-conscious front-end work (CSS/Sass, Twig, JS), and streamlining workflows with Git, Composer, and config management. At GW Libraries he bridged UX, content strategy, and engineering—building interactive SVG maps, conducting usability testing, and mentoring editors to reduce development bottlenecks. His background in interaction design and XSLT-driven repository customization gives him a rare mix of content-architecture empathy and low-level template skill. Based in the Washington DC–Baltimore area, he shares a playful developer ethos ("Git outta my dreams, git into my PR") and maintains a portfolio of work at https://maxwell.fyi.
