Senior🎓
Top SchoolMax Van Der Hart is a computer science and AI master's student at ETH Zürich with nine years of hands-on experience across product, ML engineering, and full-stack development. He has interned at Google and currently works at Jane Street on strategy and product, bringing practical experience shipping features and coordinating cross-functional teams. Max led a large-scale, police-commissioned bachelor project on multi-camera re-identification using open-source AI, which sharpened his leadership and applied ML skills. Comfortable working independently or in agile teams, he has built production features with React, .NET, GraphQL and cloud tooling and consulted on SOTA NLP and IR for messy real-world data. Outside work he trains in powerlifting, plays multiple sports, and picked up surfing during an exchange in Sydney—evidence of his persistence and quick adaptation to new challenges.
