Senior🎓
Top SchoolMaxwell Demers is a Senior Software Engineer with a decade of experience building scalable fintech and payments products across startups and enterprises. He excels at driving product-focused engineering decisions, having led major performance, testing, and data migrations that cut search latency by over 90%, increased developer productivity by 50%, and reduced bugs by 90%. Comfortable across the stack—TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, React, Python, Go, AWS/GCP, and PostgreSQL—he routinely architects API, UI, and data solutions that directly impact revenue and user experience. At PayPal and FinPay he shipped tools and flows used by hundreds of teams and millions of users, and at Recharge proposed visualization tooling to replace costly BI systems. Maxwell pairs a data-driven engineering style with cross-team collaboration and developer enablement (training, testing infrastructure, docs) to scale both systems and teams. When not shipping production features he’s likely crafting a Magic: The Gathering commander deck or writing scripts for his YouTube videos, showing a creative streak that informs his product work.
