Top SchoolMaxwell Terpstra is an experienced full-stack software engineer and instructor based in Victoria, BC, with 11 years of professional experience designing user-focused web applications and teaching practical programming skills. He has a strong track record in academic and research environments—leading development and data-architecture efforts for the Internet Shakespeare Editions and supporting flight-test data systems at a university aerospace centre. At Camosun College he moved from teaching assistant to instructor, reshaping curricula, creating lab assignments, and mentoring students while continuing to build production-ready web tools. Maxwell blends hands-on coding, requirement-to-delivery project work, and UX-minded redesigns, often translating legacy or paper workflows into maintainable web platforms. He’s particularly drawn to learning new tools and making complex technical ideas accessible to non-technical stakeholders, a skill reflected in his history of documentation, training, and collaborative course design.
