Senior🎓
Top SchoolMazhar Hussain is a seasoned systems operations specialist with over 14 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying and operating large-scale IT infrastructure across Linux/UNIX, virtualization, SAN/storage and cloud platforms. Based in Doha, he has led architecture and operations for major energy and telecom environments (Qatargas, RasGas, Telenor) with deep expertise in SAP HANA, DR/HA, enterprise storage arrays (EMC, HPE 3Par), and mission-critical clustering and backup solutions. He combines strong vendor and project management skills—RFP/RFQ scoping through acquisition—with practical systems engineering across HP, IBM, Oracle/Sun and x86 estates. Equally fluent in on-prem virtualization (VMware, KVM, RHEV) and OpenStack IaaS, Mazhar is comfortable translating business requirements into consolidation, automation and standardization roadmaps. A pragmatic troubleshooter, he pairs low-level OS and storage tuning (AIX, Solaris, RHEL) with strategic planning for capacity, security controls and disaster recovery. Colleagues rely on him for complex migrations and cross-vendor integrations that keep critical services resilient and performant.
