Top SchoolMckenzie Wilkes is a software engineer with a decade of experience building full-stack systems and interactive visualizations, currently at Google in Colorado Springs. They blend a strong interest in design and UX with practical expertise in multi-tier architectures, front-end frameworks, data analysis, and network research. Past roles include directing a university design-oriented coding lab, contributing visualization-driven tooling for internal Google platforms, and managing research databases and graph data at a computational social science lab. Mckenzie repeatedly pairs user-centered design practices with back-end engineering—shipping UI components, RPC integrations, and visual debugging tools used by large internal teams. Their background in instrumentation and scientific software adds a hands-on systems perspective that complements work on graphics, games, and data visualizations. Colleagues can expect an engineer who moves fluidly between prototyping UX, implementing robust server-side features, and teaching others to do the same.
