Summary
👤
SeniorMegan Wood is a Lead Engineer based in Phoenix with 11 years of experience building reliable, scalable systems across retail, education, and SaaS domains. She combines hands-on software and DevOps expertise—API design, automation with Ansible/SaltStack/Vagrant, AWS orchestration, and Elasticsearch-backed search—to move projects from prototype to production. At Target she leads engineering efforts, and her prior roles include architecting integration and test harnesses, automating database/dev environments, and mentoring distributed teams. Megan has a track record of creating developer tooling (command-line AWS wrappers, test harnesses, Docker images) that reduce friction for engineering teams. She blends deep backend and infrastructure skills with pragmatic leadership, often translating complex legacy systems into maintainable, automated workflows. Colleagues value her ability to pair technical breadth with clear client-focused communication.
