Senior🎓
Top SchoolMelissa Mepham is a Senior Software Engineer based in Wellington with eight years of experience building full-stack web products and design-driven user experiences. Trained as a visual artist and designer, she blends strong front-end craftsmanship (Angular, React, Svelte) with back-end familiarity and a proven track record at companies like Trade Me, CloudCannon and Paloma. She has led design-system work, accessibility initiatives and cross-disciplinary teams to create coherent brand experiences and internal tools that improve business efficiency. Melissa thrives in collaborative, creative environments—she’s run solo and group art exhibitions and translated that creative practice into product-focused work such as Trade Me’s Tangram design system and a marketing pages platform. Known for combining integrity with technical rigor, she brings UX sensitivity and facilitation skills (UX research, agile ceremonies) alongside hands-on implementation. Comfortable moving between pixels and production code, she often surfaces non-obvious trade-offs between design intent and engineering constraints to deliver polished, usable products.
