Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolMelvin Roest is an AI engineer and consultant with 13 years of experience building production-grade AI systems and teaching teams to adopt them. He combines full-stack development (Python, React, Flask, GCP) with tooling for data engineering (BigQuery, Airflow, Snowflake, dbt) to turn fragmented data and pilots into scalable products. His background in psychology and cybersecurity (penetration testing) gives him a rare blend of user-centered design, behavioral insight, and secure-by-design engineering for regulated environments like the EU AI Act. Melvin specializes in agentic AI with RAG and semantic search, keeping humans in the loop for critical decisions while automating high-volume workflows. He finds impact by digging into context—data, support logs and users—to uncover overlooked AI opportunities and rapidly prototype solutions that reach tens of thousands of users. Available for placements via InnSpire, he pairs rapid experimentation with practical adoption and governance.
