Top SchoolMenachem Hornbacher is a Lead Software Engineer in New York with 11 years of experience building resilient, production-grade systems across education, fintech, and nonprofit sectors. He combines hands-on engineering and people leadership—reducing onboarding from days to hours, running WCAG accessibility hackathons, and leading teams that cut CI/CD costs by half while adding ARM support. His work spans front-end refactors that unlocked statewide PDF curriculum exports to backend platform improvements that maintained PCI compliance and managed large internal package servers. Comfortable prototyping tooling (monorepos) and scripting developer workflows, he focuses on lowering long-term maintenance costs and accelerating delivery. Trained as a full-stack developer and EMT, he brings a practical, service-oriented mindset and a “slow and steady” approach to solving high-impact operational problems.
