Top SchoolMendel Konikov is a Principal Software Engineer based in New York with nine years of experience building polished, user-focused web applications using Rails, JavaScript, and React/Redux. At Dow Jones he progressed through engineering roles to lead and principal positions, driving both architecture and delivery for high-profile products such as the WSJ. He combines a designer’s eye for beautiful interfaces with a pragmatic focus on elegant problem-solving and shipping reliable software. Earlier work includes scaling media tools for Chabad.org that measurably increased press engagement and managing web estates for over 100 organizations, reflecting strong product and ops instincts beyond pure code. Known for clean code and a preference for tangible results, he balances technical rigor with a user-first mentality—and yes, Diet Coke fuels many late-stage ship days.
