Senior🎓
Top SchoolMerijn Stiekema is a pragmatic Data Integratie Engineer with 10 years of software and DevOps experience, currently responsible for managing ProRail’s ESB and automation to keep critical rail infrastructure running safely. He has a strong full-stack background from building APIs, mapping engines and data cleaning pipelines to migrating and securing cloud environments with Azure AD and Keycloak. At Versatyle he combined integration work with infrastructure automation (Ansible, Docker) and customer-facing data connections, demonstrating both product-minded engineering and operational ownership. Early roles in client projects and teaching sharpened his collaborative, documentation-first approach to integration and authentication challenges. He also led a 1,800-member student association through COVID-19 as chairman, keeping services and IT systems running while strengthening university ties—an example of resilience and stakeholder management beyond pure coding. Based in Utrecht, Merijn blends hands-on technical depth with cross-team coordination to deliver reliable, secure data flows.
