Top SchoolMicah Laaker is a founding product designer and design leader with 16 years of experience and a 25-year track record of making complex systems feel simple at scale, including 11 years at Google where he served 8 years as Director of UX and led teams of 80+ across four global sites. As the first designer in Google’s Office of the CEO and the only non-engineer to lead two company-wide technical governance programs, he blends executive influence with deep product craft to align cross-company design, privacy, and AI infrastructure. Currently at Across AI, he shapes agentic AI for enterprise sales by fusing institutional memory, always-on agents, and pragmatic integrations to speed revenue workflows. He also advises climate startups through his consultancy Sedapa and contributes to nonprofit efforts to make electrification and renewables more accessible. A comics enthusiast and former marketplace/product leader (Graphicly), he brings unusual breadth—from identity infrastructure and usable security to storytelling-driven consumer products—to climate tech and AI tooling. Based in Mountain View with roots in Nebraska, he’s known for translating organizational complexity into adoptable systems and compelling product narratives.
