Senior🎓
Top SchoolMicah Wedemeyer is a seasoned software engineer with 17 years of experience, currently building products at Block (Square) from his base in Atlanta. He has a strong track record of shipping scalable backend systems—having built a high-performance A/B testing service in Go and MongoDB and internal tools in Elixir and Vue. As a serial founder and early web entrepreneur, Micah co-created Obsidian Portal and co-founded several consultancies and consumer startups, blending product instincts with hands-on engineering. He spans the stack comfortably—from backend architecture and APIs to front-end frameworks like Vue and Angular—while thriving in agile team environments. Beyond code, he’s known for cultivating team culture (board games and Pandemic Legacy leadership is a recurring anecdote) and for experimenting with AI-driven prompting in his current role. Micah holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Iowa and brings entrepreneurial grit alongside deep implementation experience.
