Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolMichael Altmann is a software architect and developer with over 10 years of recent hands-on experience building enterprise healthcare and civic applications using Java, C#, Scala/Spark, Node.js and modern front-ends. He designs scalable architectures, leads migrations from batch/HDInsight to serverless AWS, and blends statistical and stochastic modeling into production systems that measurably improved clinical outcomes and hospital staffing. Comfortable across cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and stacks (Spring, ASP.NET, React/Angular), he also mentors teams and crafts domain-specific languages and tooling to speed measure-authoring and data quality checks. His background as a PhD mathematician and former academic researcher informs a data-driven approach to problem solving and a knack for open data wrangling and civic tech—skills he put to use on redistricting and policing equity projects. Currently seeking opportunities in Minneapolis, he focuses on software that addresses meaningful societal needs while modernizing legacy enterprise systems.
