Top SchoolMichael Benavidez is a Senior Technical Writer with 11 years of experience crafting clear, pragmatic documentation for complex cloud and enterprise products, now contributing at AMD after a four-year senior role at VMware. He specializes in reducing user cognitive load through procedural guides, API references, and channel-flexible publishing (Markdown/Git and DITA/OxygenXML), and regularly partners with PMs, UX designers, and engineers across the software lifecycle. His background includes compliance-driven SOPs and global review coordination at Microsoft, plus hands-on operational leadership from earlier healthcare billing roles—giving him a rare blend of technical communication and process-driven stakeholder management. Based in Austin, he pairs a BBA in Management with a technical writing certificate, and he’s known for setting developer-friendly documentation norms and reviewing content directly in GitLab to keep docs and code aligned.
