Top SchoolMichael Beskin is a software engineer with 11 years of experience building backend systems, hardware abstraction layers, and machine learning infrastructure, most recently contributing to Alexa Engine/ASR, robotics, and AGI at Amazon. Based in Seattle and currently on sabbatical, he blends a CS master's foundation with practical experience in Go, Kotlin, Java, and Node.js to ship reliable services at scale. His background spans startup engineering at Rocket Wagon—where he tackled hardware-to-cloud integration—and mid‑to‑large‑scale systems at Amazon, giving him fluency across embedded, backend, and AI stacks. He has a curious, interdisciplinary mindset informed by a BA in English, which shows in his interest in municipal tech, green tech, and finance and in how he frames technical problems for diverse stakeholders. Outside work he explores real and fictional worlds with family and friends and credits his cat as a key member of the thinking team.
