Top SchoolMichael Calvey is an experienced consultant contractor with over a decade focused on enterprise monitoring, systems architecture and Unix/Linux administration, specialising in BMC TrueSight, ProactiveNet and Patrol solutions across large-scale, highly available environments. He combines hands-on design and implementation of monitoring/eventing platforms with pre/post-sales consultancy, training and technical project management—often integrating disparate MSP tooling into single-pane-of-glass operations. Comfortable on Oracle/SUN Solaris and Red Hat Linux/KVM stacks, he has delivered solutions across finance, retail and energy sectors and holds SC security clearance. Unusually, he also pursues VR game development with Unity and SteamVR, reflecting a practical appetite for real-time, interactive systems alongside mission-critical infrastructure work.
