Top SchoolMichael Crismali is a freelance software engineer based in Chicago with 11 years of experience building web and mobile products across industries from education and healthcare to agriculture and real estate. He’s spent most of his career as a consultant and senior engineer, leading upgrades of legacy Ruby on Rails apps with React frontends, building CMS and lesson-authoring tools, and mentoring teams through agile practices and pair programming. Comfortable shipping both greenfield and brownfield projects, he combines hands-on coding, code reviews, and developer coaching to improve product quality and team velocity. Michael’s background includes operational consulting for startups and midsize companies, where he often tackles legacy modernization and performance bottlenecks that aren’t obvious from feature requests alone.
