Summary
👤
SeniorMichael Doornbos is a founder and CEO with 12+ years of hands-on experience building security-conscious digital products and OT/ICS solutions for critical infrastructure, renewable energy, and federal clients. A Navy veteran and entrepreneur, he combines deep expertise in industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, RS-485), data center and avionics engineering, and Ruby on Rails development to translate complex technical requirements into auditable, field-proven systems. He leads OffGlobe to deliver compliance tooling and AI-assisted workflows that let a small team punch far above its weight, and previously scaled an OT security practice across 27+ solar facilities with 99.9%+ uptime. Outside of infrastructure work he’s a storyteller and aviation enthusiast who built a respected space industry media platform, produced 100+ podcast episodes, and often blends retro computing and aerospace insight into his technical thought leadership.
