Top SchoolMichael Falk is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Studies and computational literary scholar who blends humanities research with practical data science to study how digital platforms shape cultural memory. With eight years of experience across Australian and UK universities, he builds research software (notably the wikkitidy R package) and teaches methods that connect literature, history and Wikipedia-driven public knowledge. His work ranges from machine-learning analyses of Pacific histories to advising scholars on bespoke scholarly databases like Heurist, demonstrating fluency in coding, pedagogy and scholarly communication. Based in Melbourne, he pairs a PhD in English with legal and interdisciplinary training, bringing an uncommon mix of literary criticism, software development and community-focused digital humanities practice.
