Top SchoolMichael Farrell is a Co-Founder and CTO with 11 years of engineering experience building privacy-first infrastructure at Transcend in San Francisco. He blends full-stack web development, machine learning, and data modeling with rigorous academic training from Harvard (AB/SM in Computer Science and Statistics) and five teaching fellowships. His background spans automated high-throughput biology work—automating FISSEQ and neural drug development at the George Church lab—to quantitative risk modeling and derivative automation at Apollo Global Management. Michael is comfortable moving between production systems and probabilistic modeling of high-dimensional data, turning research-grade techniques into reliable, scalable products. He brings an unusually interdisciplinary lens—combining computational biology, finance, and privacy engineering—that informs pragmatic architectures for sensitive data.
