Michael Gruenewald is a seasoned engineering leader and physicist with a distinguished career bridging academia and industry, holding a PhD from KIT and research experience at UCLA. He has led large multidisciplinary teams across aerospace and automotive sectors—most recently as VP and Dean of Experts at Airbus—and now runs Gruenewald Consulting and directs SRItec eG advising on technology strategy, innovation and mechatronics. His technical depth spans continuum mechanics, elastic wave propagation, aeroacoustics and numerical methods, reflected in some 60 publications and in leadership of national research projects. Known for translating deep scientific insight into practical engineering solutions, he has driven developments from Do 328 and Ariane 5 acoustics to active rotor systems and corporate expert networks. Based in Berlin, he combines academic lecturing with hands-on consultancy to shape innovation in noise, vibration and flow control across industry and government.
