Top SchoolMichael Gunkoff is a CTO and backend engineer with a decades-long trajectory from product founder to hands-on Golang specialist, currently building scalable IoT and microservice architectures for energy-efficient heating at cosy.green. He has shipped high-performance, low-latency services across startups and scale-ups—designing event-driven systems, LoRaWAN integrations, and chat and identity platforms—while optimizing CI/CD, observability, and gRPC migrations. Comfortable turning product needs into robust technical designs, he has led integrations with third-party APIs, Kafka/Avro big-data pipelines, and RADIUS-based AAA solutions for high-load environments. A self-taught artist and volunteer coder in environmental recycling projects, he brings a rare blend of creativity, ecological commitment, and production-grade engineering. Based in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main area, he prefers Go (and jokes “Golang lover, JS hater”), combining pragmatic system design with a founder’s mindset and a decade-plus history of cross-discipline collaboration.
