Top SchoolMichael Härtl is a Senior Software Engineer and seasoned freelance developer with over 25 years in IT and roughly 15 years of continuous professional experience delivering e-commerce and ERP architectures. He designs efficient, cost-conscious systems—from containerized online shops with Elasticsearch indexing, checkout and API integrations to robust ETL pipelines with transactional conversions and automatic error recovery. Comfortable across the stack, he pairs strong PHP and MySQL expertise with Linux/DevOps practices (Docker, CI/CD) and a disciplined test-driven approach. An active open-source maintainer and contributor, his work improves tooling and PHP libraries (including widely used Neovim and Yii projects), reflecting a long-standing commitment to clean OOP design and developer ergonomics. He’s known for an analytical, process-oriented mindset, coaching orientation, and a preference for small, focused teams that prototype early rather than overdesign.
