Top SchoolMichael Helvey is a senior full-stack engineer with 11 years of experience building web and platform infrastructure from early-stage startups to mature engineering organizations. Based in Lincoln, NE and working remotely, he blends deep expertise in the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem (React, Next.js, Remix) with backend and cloud skills in Python, Go, Node.js, AWS, and GCP. He’s helped stand up platform engineering teams, developer tooling, and IaC pipelines (CloudFormation, Terraform, Pulumi) that take services from local dev to production observability. An active open-source contributor and occasional compiler tinkerer, he also maintains practical mobile/iOS integrations like improvements to a popular react-native search bar. Colleague-focused and product-minded, Michael pairs hands-on coding with a track record of shipping developer-facing systems that improve team velocity and reliability.
