Top SchoolMichael Huckaby is a senior financial strategist and managing partner with 15+ years of experience in risk management, pricing strategy, and complex financial modeling across banking and asset management. He has a deep track record at USAA—driving pricing optimization, asset/liability management, and serving as lead credit risk analyst responsible for the bank’s Dodd-Frank resolution plan—combined with litigation and valuation expertise developed as a consultant. Michael blends advanced quantitative tools (Oracle Financials, SQL, Bloomberg, Hyperion, Essbase, Crystal Ball) with business judgment to translate model outputs into management decisions that materially improved profitability. He also runs Huckaby Management LLC, overseeing surface, water and mineral assets, reflecting an uncommon combination of financial engineering and hands-on asset stewardship. A CFA earned within four years of college underlines his disciplined technical foundation, while his litigation work reveals an ability to deconstruct opposing expert methodologies and defend conclusions under scrutiny. Based in Austin, he is known for pragmatic solutions that balance rigorous scenario analysis with implementable process improvements.
