Top SchoolMichael Joel is an indie game designer and software engineer with nine years of experience blending 2D/3D art and hands-on game programming. A graduate of Alfred State College in Digital Media and Animation with a Computer Science minor, he ships games end-to-end—concepting, authoring design documents, scheduling production, coding gameplay, and creating assets in Toon Boom and Maya. He’s led a long-running two-person studio-style collaboration since 2017, coordinating roles to match strengths while maintaining a steady development pipeline. Equally comfortable behind the camera as a content producer, he produces, records, and edits video and audio for promotional and gameplay content. Known for quick adaptation to new tools and challenges, he focuses on interactive storytelling that leverages both creative animation and robust technical foundations.
