Summary
👤
SeniorMichael Johns is a software architect and entrepreneur with 20+ years of hands-on engineering experience and a decade in senior technical leadership roles, currently maturing TypeScript/Node.js microservice platforms at Apiture from Athens, GA. He co-founded two companies—Level X Technology and eSee Acuity—where he blends product-minded engineering with a focus on automating workflows for small businesses and building affordable medical devices. At Apiture he led a full platform rewrite that improved performance and developer productivity and designed the core backend architecture for the company’s AI initiatives. His background spans large financial projects and early-stage scrappy engineering roles, giving him a rare mix of disciplined architecture and “do-it-yourself” operational skills. He emphasizes developer experience—shifting testing from live AWS to reliable local workflows—and is passionate about mentoring teams to ship stable, testable systems. Notably, he pairs deep Java and cloud-era expertise with recent leadership in production AI infrastructure design.
