Summary
🤩
RockstarMichael Ludvig is a Senior Data and AI Engineer with over 20 years of experience turning frontier technologies into pragmatic business outcomes, currently helping New Zealand enterprises adopt GenAI and advanced ML solutions. He blends deep AWS architecture expertise with hands-on Generative AI engineering, having led Bedrock and LLM implementations, cost-optimisation for inference workloads, and large-scale cloud modernisations. A long-time open-source and Linux practitioner, he contributed to kernel and security tooling in SUSE Labs early in his career and pioneered AWS adoption in New Zealand when the cloud was still nascent. Known for translating technical complexity into measurable value, he mentors teams, shapes cloud strategy, and focuses on ethically minded, business-aligned AI delivery. Notably, his background spans both low-level systems work (kernel, crypto acceleration) and cutting-edge GenAI deployments, giving him a rare end-to-end perspective.
