Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolMichael Morgen is a Senior Software Engineer based in Berlin with eight years of experience building cloud-native infrastructure and platform services, primarily in Go. He has driven architecture and implementation for Mirantis Container Cloud—designing multi-cloud Kubernetes bootstrapping and Day‑2 operations tooling—and previously delivered platform-level capabilities at OZON, from service discovery and xDS integrations to managed Ceph front-ends. Michael combines hands-on systems engineering (Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis, gRPC, Ceph) with product-minded design and strong testing practices, often collaborating directly with designers and frontend teams to improve UX. He has a track record of simplifying complex workflows (e.g., pruning brittle bootstrap flows to reduce complexity threefold) and mentoring small teams while shipping high-impact services. Pragmatic and detail-oriented, he prefers shipping robust, well-instrumented solutions and has been a Go enthusiast since exploring Docker’s source in 2013.
