Top SchoolMichael Pinkard is a Staff Software Engineer with 10 years of experience specializing in TypeScript, React, and React Native, currently driving frontend architecture and product delivery from Tucson, Arizona. He has led cross-functional teams to ship high-impact mobile and web applications—most notably architecting Juniper Square’s first iOS app and building mobile platforms and shared frontend systems that cut CI times and improved developer velocity. Michael combines hands-on engineering (optimizing large list views, Mapbox GIS features, Yarn workspaces, and E2E testing stacks) with technical leadership, mentoring, and roadmap ownership for design systems and observability tooling. He favors pragmatic solutions that align closely with business needs, transitioning teams from monoliths to modular, maintainable codebases. With a strong analytical background in mathematics and prior research experience, he brings rigor to engineering decisions and a knack for solving tricky performance and tooling problems.
