Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolMichael Poon is a product and engineering leader with 13 years of experience building and scaling consumer and developer-facing products across startups and large tech firms. As a co-founder now leading Tabula Bio and working on a stealth project, he blends hands-on technical judgment from early software roles at Microsoft and Twitch with senior product leadership at Release. He has repeatedly moved between founding teams and operational roles—co-founding System2 Technologies and serving as COO—demonstrating both strategic vision and executional rigor. Based in San Francisco, he’s skilled at turning ambiguous problems into product roadmaps that ship, especially in fast-paced, high-growth environments. His background in EECS from MIT informs a pragmatic engineering-first approach to product decisions. Less obvious: he pivots comfortably between developer evangelism and executive product strategy, making him effective at aligning engineering teams with market needs.
