Top SchoolMichael Powers is a Principal Software Engineer with nine years of hands-on experience building cloud-native, security-conscious systems across healthcare, security, and fintech. He specializes in Go and Kubernetes, having led teams to design microservice frameworks, CI/CD pipelines with Helm and ArgoCD, and cross-platform desktop integrations using Electron. His background spans high-scale employers including Google, Mandiant, and Intuit, where he blends deep engineering with practical operational ownership. Michael has a track record of automating workflows and migrating on-prem systems to reliable cloud infrastructures, repeatedly increasing throughput and reducing risk. Based in upstate New York, he pairs a BS in Information Technology from RIT with a maker’s mentality—he enjoys “making things” and often builds pragmatic tooling to simplify complex integrations. Notably, he brings both low-level device integration experience and large-scale distributed systems design to projects that require secure, production-grade delivery.
