Top SchoolMichael Scepaniak is a hands-on senior full-stack developer, architect, and consultant with over 13 years of professional experience building and leading mission-critical Java and JavaScript web applications. As owner of Milestone Systems Consulting, he has repeatedly architected scalable REST services, modernized legacy stacks, and led cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-impact customer portals and reporting platforms. Michael pairs deep technical craftsmanship—CI/CD, automated testing, and front-end modularization—with clear communication to non-technical stakeholders, driving measurable business outcomes like higher NPS and reduced transaction costs. He favors pragmatic, cost-effective solutions and has a track record of introducing better development practices and CI-driven deployments across organizations. Based in The Lakes, Maryland, he prefers local contract work but is open to flexible remote arrangements, and he documents his thinking on software development on his personal blog. An unexpected strength: his background in computer graphics gives him an eye for UI detail that complements his backend systems expertise.
