Summary
👤
SeniorMichael Schenk is a Principal R&D Engineer and seasoned embedded software architect with over two decades of hands-on experience designing IPTV, OTT and DVB set-top boxes and in-car connectivity solutions. He led development and architecture for seven generations of a product line deployed on some 1.5 million devices, combining deep expertise in video/audio processing, media decoding, DRM and networked media protocols (HLS, UPnP/DLNA). Recently he has focused on Android AOSP–based, screen-less automotive connectivity and SoC integrations with STM/NXP, bringing practical cross-platform porting and systems-level optimization experience. He holds five patents in IP-TV and communication technologies, and is comfortable moving between low-level DSP/embedded work and higher-level Android system design. Based in Hettlingen, Zurich, Michael blends pragmatic product ownership with technical leadership, often solving non-obvious integration and synchronization challenges across hardware, OS and media stacks.
