Senior🎓
Top SchoolMichael Silbermann is a seasoned tech lead, solution architect, and senior developer with over a decade of hands-on experience building mission-critical distributed systems for investment banking, insurtech, and fintech startups from Zurich. He blends deep expertise in Java/Scala, functional programming, streaming platforms, and cloud-native architectures with a proven track record delivering large-scale projects—most notably contributing to a $1.5B+ global reinsurance finance transformation at Swiss Re. Comfortable shifting between low-latency trading engines and big-data pipelines, he has modernized monoliths into event-driven microservices, optimized latency-sensitive FX platforms, and designed Spark/Databricks data flows. Michael pairs technical leadership and team building with rigorous engineering practices—CI/CD, Testcontainers, IaC—and a continual curiosity for AI/ML and generative AI. Not obvious from titles alone, he moves fluidly between algorithmic trading concerns and enterprise data governance, bridging quant logic with production-grade observability and cost/performance trade-offs.
