Senior🎓
Top SchoolMichael Sobrepera is a multidisciplinary engineering leader with 11 years of experience building and deploying robotics and AI systems, now serving as Head of Forward Deployed Engineering at Foxglove. He combines deep technical chops from PhD-level robotics research and hands-on hardware/software development with practical product and go-to-market experience honed at BCG, where he led AI strategy and an agentic AI product partnership with a hyperscaler. He has a track record of taking complex systems from lab prototypes—socially assistive robots and real-time visual servoing—to customer-facing products and operations in industry. Michael pairs technical ownership (C++, Python, computer vision, control) with stakeholder-heavy roles, including interim Head of Customer Success, and a history of co-founding medical device work for pediatric orthotics. Based in Seattle, he blends researcher rigor with consulting discipline to deliver measurable business value from modern AI/ML. An uncommon strength is his ability to translate nuanced human-centered robotics research into scalable commercial solutions.
