Top SchoolMichael Thomson is a founder and former teacher turned software engineer with nine years of experience building user-focused React applications and education technology. He leads Groovelit, a platform used in 3000+ U.S. school districts to make writing engaging for students, and brings hands-on product instincts from prior front-end lead roles where he rearchitected React codebases and standardized design patterns. His background as a 6th grade teacher and a Master’s student at Harvard Graduate School of Education gives him rare domain expertise in classroom needs, which he pairs with technical skills in scaling web apps and analytics. Michael’s track record includes improving student outcomes, mentoring engineers, and shipping tooling that lets teachers spend more time with students rather than paperwork.
