Top SchoolMichael Trilford is a founder, product designer and engineer with 11 years of professional experience and a career in digital product and design systems stretching back to 2006. Based in Melbourne, he builds practical, composable UI systems—creating Muibook, a native Web Components design system, and founder tools like Guru Guides and Guru Outcomes that marry Figma workflows with production code. At Airwallex and MYOB he led design system strategy, documentation and cross-discipline onboarding, driving consistency between Figma kits and live component libraries. Michael ships end-to-end: he designs, codes frontend implementations, and integrates AI tooling and component playgrounds to shorten feedback loops between designers and engineers. His work shows a systems mindset applied to product outcomes—favoring reusable, performant web components and in-browser composition that bridge prototype and production.
