Top SchoolMichael Waterfall is a Senior II iOS Engineer and entrepreneur with 16 years building polished mobile experiences and developer tools, currently shaping iOS at ASOS and co-founding Momento, a private digital journaling app. He combines deep iOS and Python expertise with a focus on architecture, developer experience, and long-lived engineering systems that scale to millions of daily users. His apps have earned Apple Editor’s Choice and App of the Day, and he has contributed open-source components that shipped inside iOS. A designer at heart, he obsessively refines small interaction details to make products feel cohesive and considered. Based in Cambridge, he also runs a UI-focused studio, d3i, bringing client work and startup product thinking together. His background in computer graphics and long track record of founding and consulting roles give him a rare blend of aesthetic sensibility and production-hardened engineering.
