Top SchoolMichael Westbay is a lead programmer with 11+ years focused on maintaining and modernizing production systems, specializing in the eXist native XML database while also working with Node.js and exploring Elixir/Phoenix. Based in Yokohama, he supports baseball data products for MLB teams and fantasy platforms, blending system administration with hands-on engineering to keep complex datasets reliable and current. He excels at translating and migrating codebases rather than greenfield development, a strength reflected in long-running roles supporting Japanese baseball data and ticketing operations. An unusual combination of technical stewardship and domain expertise in Asian baseball markets lets him bridge product, operations, and engineering needs effectively.
