Top SchoolMichael Xu is a cybersecurity data engineer with 10 years of experience building data-driven systems and microservices across defense, finance, and aerospace sectors from Los Angeles. He blends Java, Python, and front-end skills to deliver graphical ETL tooling, automated performance testing, and event-driven data pipelines that inform infrastructure and validation decisions. His work spans Apache Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and containerized deployments, and he has shipped low-code interfaces and workflow validation features that help non-experts deploy reliable data flows. Trained at Johns Hopkins (MS CS) and University of Michigan (BS EE), he pairs deep systems engineering roots with a knack for automating workflows—once boosting test data fidelity 5x—which helps teams move from prototype to production faster.
