Top SchoolMick Tarsel is an engineering lead and Senior Linux Cloud Engineer with 13 years of experience specializing in Linux networking, virtualization, and enabling open-source projects on IBM Power hardware. He currently leads GitHub Actions support for IBM Power and spends much of his time debugging Red Hat OpenShift and scaling network connectivity for customer environments on IBM Cloud. His background spans liaison roles between IBM, Red Hat, and open-source communities, helping projects like Alpine, Bazel, Calico, and OpenTofu run on ppc64le. Mick’s work blends hands-on kernel and SDN troubleshooting with infrastructure publishing—he’s a published author in both marine science (ICES Journal) and an IBM Redbook on Power modernization.
