Top SchoolMickaël Canévet is a Senior Systems Reliability Engineer with 13 years of experience building and operating cloud-native infrastructure and large-scale fleets. He has driven cost and reliability improvements at scale—most notably cutting cloud spend at Jellysmack from $240k to $100k/month and redesigning provisioning pipelines and Talos-based Kubernetes platforms at Proton. A prolific open-source author, he created tools like Bivac, Terraboard, rspec-puppet-facts and a Crossplane MySQL provider, and contributed to Puppet, Helm, Terraform and Prometheus integrations. He combines deep Linux, Puppet and Kubernetes expertise with hands-on skills in Go, Ruby and infrastructure as code to deliver immutable, secure platforms. Based in Chambéry, France, he blends strategic tech leadership with day-to-day engineering, often pushing automation into obscure corners (e.g., enhancing Raspbian unattended installers and supporting exotic filesystems). Colleagues rely on him for pragmatic, well-tested solutions that scale across cloud and bare‑metal environments.
