Top SchoolMickey Smith is a Senior Software Engineer based in New York with nine years of experience building enterprise-scale React systems and a strong preference for static typing. He’s worked across healthcare and product startups, helping architect a cancer registry application, maintain a cloud-based care management frontend, and ship features at Canal. His background in biomedical and electrical engineering informs a pragmatic approach to complex, data-sensitive interfaces—he’s built sensor-driven clinical tools and remote metric systems in prior research roles. Known to drop terms like “monoid” in conversation, he brings a functional-programming mindset to designing composable, testable UI components. Comfortable across the full stack, he focuses on making software that’s easy to reason about and interact with while solving real-world problems.
