Top SchoolMickey Yawn is a seasoned technology leader and Director of Engineering with over a decade of experience building and scaling engineering organizations across fintech and media. Currently leading product engineering at Polygon.io, he brings a track record of senior roles at Chipper Cash, Greenlight, and a long tenure at Turner where he progressed from senior developer to director-level technology and architecture positions. He blends hands-on engineering (Node.js, Rails, Mongo, MySQL) with strategic delivery, enabling teams to ship reliable, data-driven platforms for high-growth and enterprise contexts. Known for bridging product and engineering, he excels at turning complex requirements into practical, scalable systems while mentoring engineering leaders. Based in the Atlanta area and grounded in a physics BS, he pairs analytical rigor with pragmatic software architecture instincts. An operator comfortable in both startup velocity and large-broadcaster complexity, he often brings legacy-modernization insights that aren’t obvious from titles alone.
