Top SchoolMiguel David is an experienced engineering manager with 11 years building and operating cloud-native systems, currently leading distributed SRE and product teams and now at Buffer after guiding Harvest through acquisition. He led a zero-downtime, 3-year Vitess migration at peak 12K QPS, delivered $240K/year in cloud savings, and kept 99.95% uptime across 11 GKE clusters supporting $3.6M ARR. Pragmatic and people-first, he coaches engineers to promotion, fosters async-first, cross-timezone collaboration, and prioritizes sustainable pace and psychological safety. Deeply hands-on in Kubernetes, Terraform, GCP and observability, he also implemented KEDA autoscaling and CI/CD optimizations that cut compute costs over 60% for core services. Comfortable across incident command, cost optimization, and platform reliability, he blends systems-level expertise with product-minded stabilization work. Based in Brussels, he’s open to remote or local engineering manager roles focused on SRE, platform, or product engineering.
